Travel Warning for Thailand, Bangkok

Tourists Warned as Thailand Floods
Thailand government proposed a public holiday to all flooded areas from October 27-31 for safety precautions and to give them time to evacuate. The city of Bangkok is included in the weekend holiday because that area will probably be the most affected region. There were also activities that are cancelled because of the incident such as the World Film Festival and south-bound train routes.
Britain’s foreign group are warning citizens to avoid going to Bangkok, but this does not mean that they cannot go to famous resorts such as Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Phuket, and Koh Samui via Suvarnabhumi airport. Even the Australian government is making an announcement to its people to restrain themselves from traveling to Bangkok. The safety of their transportation is not accurate because some of their services are down due to the flood.
However, the Canadian and Australian governments are allowing travelers to visit other parts of the country if they take the only safe way there which is through Suvarnabhumi airport.
