Scarlett Johansson, Lea Michele and Taylor Swift are all talented singers and actresses that would be perfect for the Les Miserables production. However, the three renowned Hollywood sensations are still competing for the role according to the New York Post gossip column. The management are still looking for the right character to portray the role and they are looking at their every aspect.

The adaptation of Victor Hugo’s book is already filled with several popular actors and actresses such as Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter. This film would not only bring justice to the book but also to the Broadway play. Johansson, Swift and Michele are competing for the role of Eponine.

Taylor Swift, the sweet unassuming Country music star, auditioned for the part but there has been no word on whether she will get the part. Lea Michele of Glee fame is no stranger to Les Miserables given her prior experience with the play. Sexy vixen Scarlett Johansson and the sultry Evan Rachel Wood also auditioned for the role of Eponine aka the Jondrette girl.

With such a talented group vying to play the tragic role of Eponine, who grows up pampered by her parents only to end up a street urchin and ultimately falling in love with Marius before dying while trying to save his life, fans are already expressing heightened interest in the musical, which is scheduled for release on December 7, 2012.
