Model Health Principles for New York Fashion Week Launched by the CFDA

These guidelines aid models to maintain a health body especially for the New York Fashion Week. It is a fact that whenever people see media coverage about models they tend to realize how skinny most models are, that it doesn’t look good on most pictures. This is the reason why CFDA released guidelines for models and potential models to understand that being fir doesn’t mean that you have to starve yourself to death.

The fashion industry wants to create a better reputation to the public most importantly to the younger generation. This was prioritized when “Devil Wears Prada” movie was aired in 2006 and they showcased how renowned people in the fashion industry should take in consideration body image, proper exercise, and food intake.

And since modeling began the fashion industry’s reputation on models and their eating disorder change drastically. It is not right to force your body to fit into a designer gown that is way too small for your body size. Plus, Diane von Furstenberg, the president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, has a strict policy on the upcoming New York Fashion Week.
