Horror Movie Sickens Two at Sundance
There are films that make you sick to your stomach because it is just so horrifying. And, with the recent movies hitting the big screen there are just some people that can’t take the scary parts that well. Just last week two people watching a late-screening of horror film at the Sundance Film Festival I Utah had to be assisted by a physician because they weren’t feeling well. And another woman just left the scene because she couldn’t take the suspense from the movie.
Co-writer Simon Barett told the news that the viewer’s sickness wasn’t the films fault but he really have a disease. Though, the horror film only added to his illness which causes the vomiting and nausea. The movie was about a group of criminals who watched a variety of homemade tapes with supernatural contents. Once the male viewer left the theater and went straight to the lobby he lost consciousness and collapsed on the floor.
The movie is composed of intense scenes that include gross images due to fractures and other factors. There was a moment in the film wherein the leading actor has a bone sticking out of skin which might disgust even the healthiest person.
