Jewelry Show in Hong Kong Set to Sparkle

In February, the international jewelry market will be looking forward to China to exhibit all it has to offer in Hong Kong. This concept is to boost jewelry fortunes in 2012 and gets its initial chance to set out in this country. The 29th Hong Kong International Jewellery Show will begin from the 16th of February, and up to the 20th. The event will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. It will not only be the biggest event of its class in Asia, but a means for international jewelers into the China market.

China is where everything is all at, including most other high-end industries in the world today. In the third quarter of 2011, China beat off India in terms of solid demand. They became the world’s largest gold jewelry market as its consumption intensified to 13 percent, and 131 tons each year. The demand is projected to grow in 2012. Considering that it is a particularly fortunate time to give out presents in Chinese Year of the Dragon. This fact is reflected by the China Daily newspaper. It was stated that the percent sales of gold, silver, and jewelry had increased to 57.6 over the recent Chinese New Year holiday.

The event has invited an accomplished 3,000 exhibitors representing 46 regions and countries. The 13th Hong Kong Jewelry Design Competition will be on the show to display innovation and designs. Additionally, jewelry runway, seminars, and auctions will also be included.
