Clint Eastwood Says He’s not Obama’s Ally
Due to his Chrysler ad, there have been various criticisms that popular veteran actor Clint Eastwood is Obama’s puppet. The Chrysler ad which was aired during the Super Bowl sparked different reactions from viewers and Eastwood felt that he had to release a statement to clear the issue.
The director of Gran Torino defended himself during an interview on Monday. He dismissed the speculations that the Chrysler ad is a letter for US President Barrack Obama. Eastwood’s representative, Ron Mitchell, who is also The O’Reilly Factor’s producer, said that the actor reiterated that he is not politically connected to the US president.
The ad intended to send a message to the viewers about job growth and America’s spirit with no intention of campaigning any political figure. Eastwood became a mayor in California sometime in the 80’s but he added that he is not supporting anyone in politics at the moment.
One of the well-known figures who reacted on the ad was Karl Rove. He mentioned what a fan he is of Clint Eastwood and he had nothing against the actor and in fact he commended his portrayal on the ad. However, he believes that the advertisement was offensive.
