Noel Gallagher Believes Adele’s Success is Just for Now
Noel Gallagher of the band Oasis affirms his belief that British star Adele’s popularity will only be for now. He maintains that the female singer whose music is now being adored by many will only have a short-lived singing career because she has no “shelf life” in the unpredictable world of music.
Adele’s album has been top of the charts since its worldwide release and has already sold over 17 million copies. Her amazing voice and remarkable performances have been well commended by other stars such as Dave Gohl and Beyonce. However, Gallagher is skeptical about the rising star and he even compared her to Duffy who was among the industry’s one hit wonder.
In one of Gallagher’s interview with Live magazine, he stated how much he feels sorry for girls in the music industry who have shown wonderful promise but was not and will not be able to sustain their popularity and he cited Adele as one of them.
Related to the Oasis former guitarist’s statement, no comment has been released by Adele’s camp as of the moment.
