Cancer and Other Health Needs of 9/11 Heroes Neglected By Uncle Sam?

NYC 9/11
When the Twin Towers collapsed on September 11, 2001, many braved the heavy smokes and falling debris left by the bombing. These brave souls, who were once recognized by their government as heroes, have been converted into victims of illnesses that range from asthma to cancer. The US government has reserved funds for those heroes but does not acknowledge cancer as being one of the ailments caused by exposure to the toxic piles of debris left by the Twin Towers’ fall.
Jeff Stroehlein is a retired New York City firefighter who came to the rescue on that tragic day. He is 47 years old now and is fighting brain cancer 10 years after his heroic deed. He and others with cancer believed that their sickness have been caused when they helped clean the vicinity. Many have saved the lives of others and have lost theirs in return. The government has praised those men once for their bravery. Now, they believe, the US government turned its back on them.
