Paris Hilton off the Hook in Las Vegas Drug Case
After getting busted in August 2010 with then-boyfriend Cy Waits, Paris Hilton paid fine, attended counselling sessions, performed community service and now has completed the terms of her probation. Las Vegas Sun reported that Justice of the Peace Joe Bonaventure has already closed the heiress’ case.
The 30-year old celebrity pled guilty to accusations of cocaine possession while her ex-boyfriend Waits was eventually charged with driving under the influence of marijuana. Richard Schonfeld, Hilton’s lawyer, released a statement on a hearing held on Tuesday that Hilton’s camp is asking that her probation be honorably concluded and her case be ended at this moment.
Priyanka Sedlock, Deputy District Attorney, agreed that the famous heiress’ has already met the conditions set as her probation. Sedlock maintained that Hilton stayed out of trouble since she pled guilty and has made sure to make efforts to complete her probation terms.
Hilton’s probation included 200 hours of community service but she performed more than that. With no complains, Hilton completed 228 hours of community service which included working in a foundation housing and helping animals in Las Vegas and painting out graffiti in Los Angeles.
